This is a pretty good hotel for those travelling on a budget. Rooms are fairly basic, but new and comfortable, and the buffet breakfast is very good. The location is a few kilometres out of the centre and is in a safe enough residential area, and has good bus and tram connections which get you into and out of the old town area within about 20 minutes to 40 minutes depending on time of day and waiting time for the bus. The buses come along about every 10 minutes during the day so this location was fine for us. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Overall this is excellent value for money for budget travellers.
There is no air conditioning. During our stay there was a heat wave in Riga and rooms were very, very hot. However the hotel did provide an excellent fan on request and the windows can be opened. The second thing is that the walls are paper thin, which was not really a problem for us as our neighbours were fairly quiet.

Free parking, room size is good.
Carpet is stained and room (and especially the pillows) smell a lot like smoke. We had a view to a deserted, almost roofless building where a man lives who likes to keep staring at you... Gave us the creeps. The bar was closed during our stay even though the information in our room said otherwise. Staff is very unprofessional, telling you no restaurant is nearby, even though the Cili Picas is quite close. Lots of youth stayed here (they also organize club tours including lapdances..) so be aware that there might be quite some noise in the middle of the night.

The location was convenient, with transportation links into the city center just a short distance away. The staff was great. The cleanliness was good, as we did not notice any dirty spots, and our towels were changed during our short stay.
No issues found.

The hotel is located in a nice area, away from the bustling town center, but with easy access via nearby bus stops. The friendly staff were always ready to assist with directions and tips on buying advance tickets. The rooms, although typical in appearance, were comfortable with plenty of space to relax. The cleanliness of this hotel deserves a special mention - it was the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in! Every day, the spotless bathroom and immaculate rooms impressed me. A truly remarkable attention to detail.
No improvements needed, everything was fine.

We stay two days and the make the room and change towels.the towels were ok..also the size. Good and clean hotel. Very quiet aerea. Free car parking.
Too far from the old town. It's about 4 km. On foot it's very hard: go and back. Before start the visit of the old town you must count 8 km. On foot. The good choice is to catch a bus. The bus stop is near the hotel.

Decent breakfast and free WiFi. the beds were comfortable enough.
The location was too far from the city center, making transportation expensive. No sound isolation, so we could hear everything our neighbors were talking about.
